And Harry O'Donoghue, handsome Irishman from Savannah, who proselytizes the music of his home country each week on his NPR radio show, "The Green Island," not only wowed me with his solo act at Cathy O'Clarke's when I first saw him. But he's also seemingly taken up the banner to convert me into a true lover of the land's musical heritage. Just about every month I receive from him a compilation CD of tunes he's featured on his radio show, of popular and obscure Irish artists, everything from folk to reels to rocked-out pop. |
